As long as I can remember, the colours, the movement and the moods of the world have fascinated me. The seasons with their colours and moods, I can be suddenly overwhelmed by the surprises that nature presents to us. Then in my career I studied human behaviour. Personal interactions and reactions have always intrigued me. The bubbling child, the radical teens and the wise faces of the elderly attract me as much as the stormy sky or the perennial garden. When I catch sight of one of these fleeting moments I have an overwhelming urge to put that reaction on paper or canvas. Often grasping the mood is elusive.
