Elgin County Studio Tour: Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
   - These terms and conditions govern your participation in the Elgin County Studio Tour.

2. Acceptance of Terms
   - By submitting your application to participate in the tour, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

3. Eligibility
   - Participation is open to artists  residing in St. Thomas and Elgin County. Applicants must meet the specified criteria to be considered. 

4. Application Process
   - Details regarding the application form, submission deadlines, and required documentation will be provided on the  website.  A jury committee will arrange a visit to your studio once a review of all applications are completed.

5. Participation Fees
   - A non-refundable membership fee of $225 will be paid to the Elgin County Studio Tour once the artist is accepted.  The artist will enter into a contract and this must accompany the fee.

6. Event Schedule
   - The tour will take place on the last weekend in September. Participants must be available during the entire duration of the event.

7. Responsibilities of Participants
   - Participants are responsible for setting up their displays, ensuring their artworks are displayed safely, and being present during tour hours.  -    Participates are required to volunteer on a committee and must attend two meetings of the membership.  Participants must adhere to and be informed of all deadlines associated witht he Elgin County Studio Tour.  This includes deadlines for application submissions, payments, and any other required documentaiton.  Timely compliance is essential to ensure a smooth and successful participation in the tour.  Failure to meet these deadlines may result in disqualification from the event. 

8. Liability and Insurance
   - Participants are advised to carry their own insurance for artworks and liability. The organizing committee is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during the tour.

9. Cancellation Policy
   - Participants must notify the Elgin County Studio Tour Executive committee in case of cancellation.  Details on refund policies, if any, will be provided.

10. Code of Conduct
   - Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously. Any behavior deemed inappropriate may result in removal from the tour.

11. Marketing and Promotion
   - The Executive committee reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes.

12. Changes to Terms
   - The Executive committee may modify these terms and conditions at any time. It is the participants' responsibility to stay informed.
