Artist Bio – Francis Martin I am constantly experimenting with mediums and techniques to explore the visions and concepts I feel compelled to express. My work moves between reflections on humanity, how we feel, struggle, connect, and the spiritual relationship between people, nature, and the universe. I’m drawn to texture and process. Many of my pieces are layered or “stitched” together through mixed materials such as paint, canvas, wood, and metal. I use anything that creates a distinct surface, brushes, airbrush, sponges, plastic, and unconventional tools, allowing the physical act of making to become part of the meaning. I’m interested in pushing materials beyond expectation, building surfaces that feel lived in and complex. The result is work that invites curiosity, where the process isn’t immediately obvious, and the viewer is left to wonder how it came to be.
